My debut post here. I've compiled a list of daily Petty trivia items and have been posting them over the last year or two at other Petty boards. Thought I'd intro myself here my starting them here too. 1970 - Dan Gurney starts from the pole at Riverside in a 2nd Petty Enterprises Plymouth Superbird #42. He finishes 6th - one spot behind Richard. 1972 - Andy Granatelli announces STP's sponsorship of Richard's 43 team. (The sponsorship also extended to a limited schedule 2nd Petty Enterprises Dodge for Buddy Baker for 1972 only.) Because of the late timing of the announcement, the Petty team did not have a chance to add any day-glo red to the car at Riverside. Instead, it ran the traditional Petty blue with limited STP placements.

Welcome aboard pettycash. Oh, boy, someone else with pics and history. You are going to be very popular here. By the way, Songsmith will be asking about pics of the 1964 Plymouth, so you can rack up some bigtime points there. Good to have you with us.

The YOU TUBE stuff is awsome. Check out the clip of the National 500.
Chase caught me off gaurd with Gurney in Petty's Plymouth. I have to reach far back to recall that car let alone anything else about him driving it.
