The Ford's dominated the Daytona 500 from 1967 to 1969. Cale Yarborough and Leroy Yarbrough put on a show in 1968 that was stunning. This was a drivers race without a doubt.

In those days Daytona it was not unusual to have a two car shoot out. This is what Stock Car Racing is all about.

Now that is both a pic and a rivalry that is hard to match. Two truly great drivers who won't make the France Hall of Fame for a long time if ever but who surely belong in any discussion of Nascar.
