I was there about halfway down the beach side. Sittin up on the beach berm was cool.
Thunderbirds in F-100's put on quite a show before the race too.
A thirteens year olds eyes were pretty big. ;D ;D

Paul I was there for the 59 race at the new speedway as well.
Now you wanting to talk about being big eyed. It is still AWESOME to stand on the Daytona track at turn 4 and look toward the finish line.
I was there last Friday for the Turkey Day Rod Run there were roughly 3,000 cars there for the car show. Maybe a few few more than that really. I walked and looked for 7 hrs took about a hundred photos.
Working on a offer for a 68, 427 Chevy Caprice Classic running the VIN now trying to verify numbers.
Lots of memories there at that track.
It still stirs your blood to stand on that track or walk it. Awesome just awesome.
