While driving past a local used car dealership tonight I noticed a car in the showroom that is long and green and says 440 on the hood. I will try to find out more information. The same dealer had or still has a 1992 Pontiac Grand Prix autographed by Lee, Richard, and Kyle Petty. I have no idea about a price, but I can imagine it would be rather high. I'll let you all know what I find out.

Sounds like a Plymouth 440 GTX. They were a tank but with the right gear and with the right tune up they were great street cars.
I had a coworker with one. Their reputation got so bad several companies quit insuring them including his they gave him 60 day notice. No insurance no base sticker to get on base.
He did have a couple tickets and he did have to get rid of the car.

The first pic is from Charlotte, 1975. Look close and you can see what looks like tire marks on the pavment behind Richard's left front and David's left rear.
The second is from the Firecracker 400 in 1977. Petty destroyed the field that day.
The third is from Riverside in January of 1971 with Petty in a wingless 1970 Plymouth, he blew and engine with Ray Elder and Bobby Allison finishing 1st and 2nd.
4th pic is of Richard and David in a familliar postion, do not know the track.
6th pic is the start of the 1970 Firecracker 400, Donnie Allison won this event.
The 7th is from Charlotte, 1970
Thanks guys
