Here is Terry Labonte taking a photo op at Darlington 1984. Richard Petty's cousin Dale Inman crew chiefed this car to the championship that year. Stats are hard to find on Inman, last time I looked he was not listed on Wikipedai or Jayski's site for all time winningest crew chiefs. Regardless his resume incudes 8 chamionships. Not sure of his total win count. He left Petty Enterprises early in 1981 and came back in 1986.

Here are Dale's eight championships Year Crew Chief Manufacturer 1964 Dale Inman Plymouth 1967 Dale Inman Plymouth 1971 Dale Inman Plymouth 1972 Dale Inman Plymouth 1974 Dale Inman Plymouth 1975 Dale Inman Plymouth 1979 Dale Inman Chevrolet 1984 Dale Inman Chevrolet (with Terry Labonte) (but only two wins that season) I found this, stating that Dale has 193 wins as a crew chief: DALE INMAN (2002) Dale Inman is the only crew chief in history to win eight NASCAR Winston Cup Championships - seven with Richard Petty and one with Terry Labonte. Inman, born in 1936, retired from Petty Enterprises at the age of 62 following the 1998 NASCAR Winston Cup season. During his 40-year career, Inman’s cars drove to victory lane 193 times. No other crew chief has visited victory lane more than 100 times. Source: National Motorsports Press Association: nmpaonline.com/hof.htmlAnd I found this chart on nascarreference.com that says Dale has 190 wins: www.nascarreference.com/crew/winranking.phpBut I also found biographies that say Dale has "more than 200 wins" as a crew chief. Regardless, it is undisputed that Dale is the greatest, winningest crew chief in Nascar history. If the nascarreference site is correct, Bud Moore has 51 and Ray evernham has 49
