Hey Rick,
Do you know if that is a restoration? Or a recreation?
It seems to sit lower than I remember it as a race car.
Absolutely love it with any sponsor contingency stickers.
Today's test cars have more crap on them than this!

As far as I know it is the original I found it on an old RP site about 3 years ago, I loved it an saved it, in fact I had a 1966 black back then.

Dodgehemi,
Thanks. And sorry for giving Rick credit for the pic. I was too lazy to scroll up and double check!

That pic is fairly old and this car was or is in the Joe Weatherly Museaum at Darlington. Don' know if this is the car that Petty is loaning to the HOF. I think that there are at least two of these cars still around that are original. Darlington wouldn't have it otherwise. Have to talk with some old heads to find out.
Than angle of this photo gives the impression that it is too low but it's not.
Great pic and a great car.

A great pic! That car alone could strike fear in a competitor's heart, but put Richard in it and most were just racing for whatever they could end up with.

Thanks for the history guys. That probably is the car in the Weatherly museum at Darlington. Off to the left, you can see "...on Raceway" painted on the wall. And here is Richard and the car, back in 1967
