I am around also, but it seems like we are the only ones. Might as well shut this site down.

I'm afraid do to the lack of progress with the team a lot of people are getting turned off. I have been a fan from the 60's and its getting hard to even watch the races. I find myself recording the races and then watch later and do a lot of fast forwarding to get through it. After Dodge left and with RPM running so bad and the boring races I just have nothing to root for.

I'm still a fan. Bubba is a good driver. Performance of the cars suck. A lot of the Camaro teams seem to be having problems. I do not pretend to know how to fix the cars. If I did I'd be heading down to North Carolina to help them out.

All the changes NASCAR has made the past few have turned me off along with our team doing so bad.

Don't know if they will be running next year. Really bad. I noticed the empty seats at Texas. This new package has done nothing to get closer racing. Very boring.

I just can't seem to turn my back on it. I have been a fan since the late 60's and I always find myself looking for news, racing, etc. I think that if they took off the spoiler and the splitter, make the drivers drive the cars, the racing would be better and might get rid of some of the issues people complain about.

I think it was Richard that said a few years ago to reduce the spoilers and raise the ride height and that will make the cars less areo sensitive. This would make them harder to drive and put it back in the hands of the driver. The problem is the young drivers complain if the cars are hard to drive, everyone wants the car '"planted".

Well, get different drivers. ones that are willing to drive cars, not just ride in them ;P

I haven't stopped by here for a couple years.
Most of the conversations moved to FaceBook. And there didn't seem to be much reason to check in here.
I spent a bunch of time this morning clearing out spam. I think I got all the ones that had been reported. I also deleted the accounts that were posting the junk mail.

I have been fighting some serious health issues for over a year I think I'm okay for a while. My gorgeous wife of 34 years passed away a few months back. Been a tough year. Still watchin races though and pullin for the 43.
I hope it's on the tack next year. Nascar is in serious, serious trouble so is the 43. There may not be a good answer for either. Nascar WAY overbuilt TV was where they're getting their money keeping them alive. The Crowds are going to the small Friday and Satuday nite tracks. Even the prices at some of those is silly.
A few tracks with tradition like Darlingtom. Bristol. Daytona, are hanging in there Inday is a monstor track that has lost it's appeal now and I'd venture to say they didn't even break 50/50 truth be known. I stop in often looks like Bubba is trying to get enough car to ruff'em up a little, he had Richard resetting his hat at Inday.

I haven't been here in forever, but Scott and I were reminiscing about it the other day, and I thought I would see if anyone still checked in. Looks like there are a few stragglers. There was a time when I spent a lot of time here with this great group of Richard Petty fans. Scott and I were talking about Songsmith. We lost Tommy a few years ago.

Hope everyone is doing ok through all this madness. I never thought we'd see times like these, races being postponed and everything, states being shut down, people having to stay in there homes. It's crazy times. On a good note, the 43 has looked some better this season. Hopefully, when everything gets back to normal, we'll see something this year out of the 43. Y'all stay safe. Talk to y'all later.
