Thank you. We need to see this every day. May our "leaders" stop playing politics and get this done swiftly and decisively.

Its a shame the elected officals in Washington dont remember this and feel they need to apologize to the enemy for the way the US has treated them. I say an eye for an eye. War criminals dont have the same rights as an American citizens. We dont have pows in this war they just shoot them but we must give the enemy the right to defend thierself. Sorry for the rant it just makes me mad to say the least when Washing plays politics instead of giving our brave men and women what they need. Thanks to all our men and women in the military.

I agree completely. When a persons job and belief is terrorist then they have no rights. I think that a foreign terrorist when caught in civilian clothing should be put up against a wall and sent to whatever Allah is. My own beliefs will see them in hell.

We are taught that if someone strikes our right cheek, we should turn the left as well. We also are taught that judgment and vengeance are in the hands of God. These are very difficult lessons to remember when someone does what these men did. Their reward is waiting for them, and it won't be 72 virgins and rivers of honey. Jesus will sit in judgment of all at His coming, and He will hold the keys to the gates of Heaven and hell. The blood of thousands of innocents are on their hands. It will not go well for them.

My blood boils every time I see that or a special. A couple nights ago they had a special on History Channel about those who survived in the Marriot. In just one or two clips you could hear the thuds of bodies. I would have no trouble putting a uniform back on ( if they could find one to ffit) and pullin a trigger on any of'em. God that sounds awful but I can't help it. Those people were defenseless and had done nothing to deserve that niether has the United States. pb

I am not an anti war protestor but, I am now a firm suporter of bringing 100% of our troops home NOW.
To me it is an affront to everything our military stands for the leave them outside the country to be put in danger FOR NO REASON AT ALL.
Our current leadership, has no intention of allowing them to achieve success. His do nothing different policy is just aimed at supporting HIS PARTY's contention that we shouldn't have been there.
I firmly believe the President should be charged with every new death of a US soldier left in Middle East. Nor should any self respecting parent allow there son or daughter serving in the military to be used as bomb bait for Terrorists. If they are not able to defend themselves, they have no business being there.
If he believes that diplomacy is the answer then get the military out and go diplomicize your butt off over there.

I struggle with this every day.
Our corporate offices were in 7 WTC until May 2001. We were out of lower Manhattan before 9/11, but our new offices in Jersey City NJ look directly over lower Manhattan. It was a difficult day watching former colleagues and friends working in the towers being murdered.
So why the struggle?
As revilo wrote, vengeance is not ours. And just like we do not share in Tim McVeigh's guilt for bombing the federal building in Oklahoma, all Arabs should not share the guilt of a the terrorists who murdered.
There is such a thing as just war. I'm just not sure the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan are "just" wars.
At the end of the day, did we really gain by anopen invasion of Iraq?
I think I would have preferred our national political leaders untie the hands of our intelligance agencies and the FBI and let the covert ops people do what they are trained to do.
I don't think I can conclude this. Like I said, I continue to struggle with it.

It is difficult. One thing we all struggle with is our "difference" from "them". Our God would have us love and forgive all and show the kindness He has shown to everyone in His name. Thier supposed "god" would have them behead everyone who who won't convert along with stoning or killing in hideous ways those who cause dishonor such as converting to Christianity.
We want to live in peace and serve and show kindness to all. They want vengeance on anyone they can find a reason for.
What do we do when we want to live and so many of them want to die killing us?
Whatever we do aside from punishing those who are found guilty of actual crimes is against our vows to God. Whatever they do is justified by one law or another including the most nightmarish things.
This is a situation for which we are not prepared in any way.
But there is comfort in one thing. The Lord God Jehovah is the one true God and He is our God. When all else has fallen He and His will shine. Allah is just a shadow in a nightmare if he is who is portrayed by the militants. There is no god there. Only a sick perverted creation of a nasty so called prophet who was a murderer and child molester. At least that is the view of those who line up to kill us.
Please notice the lack of caps in that description. I will not honor with caps a monstor of the worst type.
As for the non militant Muslims? They should speak out against thier monstrous breathren, but they stay silent. Is it that they believe the same but are not able to act? Is it that they are afraid to talk? Until they speak up I for one will not give allah any title but monster.
Just my own opinions. I choose to serve Jehovah. And no I am not a Jehovah's Witness though Judy is. I just happen to believe Jehovah is God's name, along with the other interpretations such as Yahweh, and "I Am".
If we pray to God and stay faithful we will in the end prevail.
Thank God. A saying I love goes like this:
If everything isn't allright it isn't over yet.

I am proud of my country and what it stands for and what it has stood for in the face of true evil. I am extremely proud to have been able to wear the same uniform as the tens and hundreds of thousands that have made untold sacifices to protect our privileges of freedom. One of my greatest concerns now is that there are now a LARGE number of Amercans that take our freedom for granted. True feeedom as we enjoy is not free. We do not murder innocents. have we made honest mistakes and had that happen yes. But we DO NOT murder innocents as a representation of our god or country. I believe there needs to be another verse added to our our anthem. We are the land of the free because of the brave. Tom you are absolutely correct if they want to solve our problems there with diplomacy do not allow not even one more soldier to die and waste his life. I remember when I was ia young G.I. I had a much respected comander taking a few moments for a discussion with me. He told me one of his biggest fears was that someday we would have a president that had never been in uniform or served during a war. Our Nobel Peace Prize winner needs to live up to his name. pb

Well put, pb, and thank you and the others on this board who have served so valiantly for your sacrifices and your bravery. That is what america is made of. I sometimes wonder now if, as in 1776, a call may arise for us to shed our blood once more to set our country free of the marxists and communists who have now taken over. I would, my friends. I would.

Judging by the silence ( for the most part) of our military leaders especially the Sec of Def I think we are walking a very fine line. Our president thinks he is Daniel Boone and can smile'em down out of a tree he's really naive and making a HUGE, HUGE mistake. We fortunately and unfortunately are a country of laws and we are lawing ouselves right out of control. I did not like what GB did in Iraq and I think it was totally unnecessary. He could have waited and Saddam would sooner or later turned the world againest him once again. He was a threat to oil but not a direct threat to us. This group of idiots in Pakistan are now center page. Something bad is going to happen there. I do not believe in their safeguards and they have the stuff that can really hurt us and Israel. For our sake....I hope they have discretely asked for our help in securing their Nukes. They may be crude in comparison to ours but they can be awful weapons in the wrong hands. At least when we are talking to the Russinas and others there is some rationale. These radical Islamists there is no rationale just their god. This stuff is way out of control and our leadership s a mushroom. pb

I would like to think we have every launch site in Pakistan targetted and would hit any and all that were over run by the bad guys. Obama is a joke, but not a funny one. He wants to do here what Chavez did in his "beautiful revolution" in his own country. He may just succeed. If so we have a dictator. I have seen enough of him to realize he is not really a nice or even and honest man. He is just another crooked Chicago politician who happens to have a lot of communist friends he wants to help him take this country.
