At Lowe's everything seemed about the same. Kasey ran fine and almost won. If not for possibly a gear ratio keeping him from accelerating off the starts he may well have. The other three were in the AJ 24, Reed 29, and Elliot 30. Is Kasey that much better than the rest? I think that may well be the case. . . Is his gear that much better than the rest? Yes he had the R6 again at Lowes, but even that didn't help against JJ's restarts. Are our other three that bad? Not that we are horrible as we are far ahead of last year or many years before. But aside from a couple of good runs by AJ I don't see much change in them. Is it crew chiefs and gear? Maybe. Could be a large part. But could the others in Kasey's gear come close to what Kasey does? That is the question. Thoughts, replies???

Thats a really tough questions, I missed most of this race, only the last 100 lapse. But kasey was impressive. Didn't see much of the others.
AJ seems to push his equipment more than Reed or Elliot. He gets sideways on corners alot more.
Can't wait until they put AJ in a ford this year. That will be interesting.

If you listen to Aj during a race, he gets very frustrated. He was really upset when Kasey put him a lap down this week. It seems like he doesn't get much info or help from his crew chief, either.

I have often asked myself the same thing Mr.Songsmith,I mean could Kasey be gettin SO much more quality equiptment than the others? I also ask if I may is Dale JR. that bad,the other 3 are just great,Jr. runs about as good as our lower 3 drivers.

Great point Brett. I think if Jr had Chad Knaus he would easily make the chase. Maybe not 3 titles in a row, and unfortunately soon to be four, but I think he would win now and then and make the chase. Is Kenny Francis that good? It surely looks like it. Not that good in as good as Chad but that good that he makes Kasey's gear that much better? Surely is beginning to look like it.

It also bares to remember that on the 1 1/2 mile tracks and the restrictor races the R6 has an advantage. I don't believe that the other 3 had that motor. At lowes it is one of the tracks that the R6 is best at.
martinsville will show what AJ is capable of with the R5, when is on the shorter tracks even when Kasey had the R6 they were alot closer to him.

Very true. I don't think Reed or Elliot either one are going to set the world on fire. But, no choice we have Elliot for another year. I wish Reed well but between bad luck and just not having a killer instinct he is better in Nationwide. AJ we will see about. I am hoping!

OR this thought as well. If Menards isn't coming with Yates what about Jaime for the 4th team........not sure what sponsorship will come with it. Don't need jaime if it means diluting the sponsorship again.

I hadn't thought of that. Maybe JM will be tucked away by Roush at RPM. Agree on diluting sponsors though. We really don't need that at all. But Jack does sometimes like to shift his guys over. . . Menard's is good for the money. The way him and his old man are working I have to wonder if it would even be worth it to have him here.

Keep Menard away! He will give us NO JOY in watching him race! Don't care if he had Jimmy Johnsons car and Chad as his crew chief HE WILL NOT WIN! We do not need another driver on the team that we no week in and week out will not make it to VICTORY LANE! We have 2 now and I hope I was not wrong about AJ but if I am I will be the first to eat crow. There has to be a way to draw drivers to WANT to come to RPM and race for us! HELL we have RP as the face of our team! I think I no the answer,Stability, seems like we don't have it? Not bein negative gang, just hope our team has a true leader next year into who everyone knows who to go for,for answers?Hope I made some sense, got kool-aid to finish!

You made perfect sense, Brett. Menard would help financially but would not make us a stronger team. We do need another driver to work with Kasey and AJ who would bring more than just a driver's seat filler on Sunday. We need to build a real driver's team.

Oh well. He surely hasn't really done much in a Rousch Ford anyway so probably no great loss. In fact the only thing he might have brought is a little extra in the way of trinkets from Rousch but not really enough to hopefully keep us from looking for another driver of Kasey's abilities.
