Yesterday was really great. Unfortunately, we did not win any awards. But we went out there and busted our butts off and did the best we possibly could. It was great for us to get along so well yesterday. I got to compete in the Rope Bridge, PT Test, Team Run (3.1 miles), and CCR (Litter Carry). The only think I didn't compete in was the Gaunlet, because they were letting me rest after the Team Run. The Team Run was awesome. I'd never been able to run a mile before without walking, but yesterday I ran that entire distance of 3.1 miles without walking but about a minute. My team made me feel so great. They encouraged me to keep going the whole way. At the end when I was sprinting out ahead of them (with their encouragement) to the finish line, they all yelled and made me feel so great. And then when we crossed and stopped 3 of them threw their arms around me at once. I'm so glad I joined Raiders, because of things like that I will never forget. They did great, too, and I'm really proud of them. We all did the best we could. I really proved myself yesterday, and it feels so great. Even when I could have been resting I chose not to and tended to everybody's needs. Pretty much after the CCR everybody was hurt, and I was kind of running around being a little medic. I didn't care. It was for the team and that's what I wanted to be doing. Yesterday was so awesome.

Way to go Cadet Jordan. It feels good to be part of something bigger that yourself, doesn't it? Keep going. You are learning so much right now.

Great job Cadet J! My daughter's marching band director always remind his students their goal shoudl be to do the best they can, at this moment in time.
Frankly that is all any of us can shoot for, in whatever our field of endeavor!
Congratulations on simply doing your best and leaving it all on the field!

It sounds like your group is building, cadet. With the teamwork you all have when you have had a little time together you will be unbeatable!
