I don't belivie he should lose his job and NASCAR should not be involived in it at all he did nothen on the race track wait and let the court try it OK. If anyone should loss their job Michael Waltrip should be baned from NASCAR 2nd. time for him he didn't learn his lesson the 1st time. I think you being biased! You think Micheal should be banned when he was never legally drunk and did nothing on the track as you say about AJ but AJ was legally drunk and driving! I don't think AJ should lose his job either but I don't think it is fair to throw Micheal under the bus when our driver was at/over the limit! The law says Michael was not drunk but AJ was!! It boils down to who makes the laws even though the difference was . 02 between the two of them. I live in MD the limit here is .o7 and talk of making it lower.

I do not condone drinking and driving. I hope they throw the book at AJ and make him pay dearly for it but I don't think he should lose his job right now. Another DUI and I think he should be lifted from driving anything for at least a year. People are dying out there from this stuff. Let's make it count.

While I understand everyone's feelings about the dangers of driving under the influence, I believe this has been blown way out of proportion. There are people on our highways who have five or ten DUI arrests and are driving without a license or insurance. They have not been deterred by anything that has happened to them so far. Taking a young race car driver who has a .08 on his first offense and throwing the book at him won't be much of a deterrent, either. Let him face the consequences of his actions, both legally and professionally, and let it go. AJ will do what he must to turn his poor decision into a positive message for his fans and the public. I still have faith in him, and pray for him to come through this a better man.

Lets drop the DWI for a minute and look at AJ's performance through the year, is he really the one for the 43? Leave the DWI out of it, if AJ were to not get the 43, who would you want based on who is available?

The only other driver that I would be ok with for the 43 would be Jamie Mac, but really I don't think he can win in the car. Yea he won yesterday and his other win came 2 years ago at Daytona, but if that's all you can muster with Rousch then I just don't think your that good. AJ is extremely aggressive driver and that's what it takes to win these days. Give him good equipment, which we should have next year and I think he will blossom into a title contender.
