this 1994 wally dallenbach racer was a yardsale revel diecast that had been abused bought for $1 I took it apart , repainted and redecaled it

Some times I like to disassemble diecast- add some paint here and there, to make it look more detailed , add tape for a visor, ect. an example would be rich bickle's truck - lots of details were missing , black in grill, blue window net, trim on windows , paint the hood pins , and paint the wheels proper blue instead of black. you see what i mean,then I respray with clear so they shine , so many diecast are dull and satin lokking, i feel that doing this makes a diecast model now my work , pictured below are some diecast that I put a little bit of myself into

to further that point look at the 43 truck before and after

The king used to bury his old race cars behind the shop when they were all used up so this is an old polar lights kit being put out of its misery when it started to deteriorate, this kit was replaced .

Darlington stripe - I built this to simulate a race car that actually saw track time, it has debris, dents , wheel marks and even a hot dog wraper in the grille

my benchlist for current petty projects are numerous
I have someone making me resin copies of most of the prominant 1/43 scale mopars that starter out of france produced , this will get me a magnum which i will do 4 different paint schemes on,
64 ply, 70 s-bird, 71-77 roadrunners and chargers- I will have 19 upcomming paintschemes based on these bodies b4 may.
currently you have seen my 73 charger in progress, also in progress is a watkins glen hamilton pontiac in which i will move the fuel filler to the passenger side, and a adam petty sprint pcs texas cup car. This is my current project list however, I still havent shown you all the rest of my completed builds yet so stay tuned. I hope to be able to display all of them in person for pettys garage spring fling May 25 . Thanks for looking.- clyde shafer
