We'll never know what would have been. He would be in his prime now at 32. What a shame. His legacy shines brightly at VJGC, and that isn't a bad way to be remembered.

That is so cool PettyCash That you still have that. That is really awesome. I've been a true Petty fan myself since birth, was born into it. My dad bled Petty Blue and I followed suit, it would have really been something to see what Adam could have done with Petty Enterprises and the whole race team.

That was a TOUGH, TOUGH, TOUGH time to be in the Petty camp. I'm Not sure if the word TRAGIC would even come close to describing the emotions that were felt by the family.
Adam was just really starting to make his way.
If the equipment hadn't improved he would have been a very, very, frustrated young man. I know there was so much hope placed on him and the burden would have been HUGE.
He was expected to step into some awfully big shoes. That was just about the time that the competition level both talent wise and equipment wise had taken a giant leap. I'm just not sure that he could have produced what the (us) Petty hopefuls were pulling for.
Life is more than racing but for families like Petty, Andretti, Foyt, Earnhardt the bar is just so high for what is expected. Even with all the notoriety I think it could also be a curse to be in that kind of blood line.
It's tough enough to be successful in life, but under that kind of scrutiny and expectations and pressure life may not be as good as we think.
pb 45 ;D ;D
