Cale, 1983

After Cale Yarborough's wreck during qualifying for the 1983 Daytona 500 the Harry Ranier team dusted off the Pontiac Lemans that Bobby Allison drove in 1981. Supposedly this machine was a show car at the time of Cale's tumble.



It worked out pretty good as Cale won his third Daytona 500.
