8 years ago our lives were changed forever, now on this day we take the time to remember all those that were lost in NY and Washington. Also to all the men and women fighting overseas and to those that have given the ultimate sacrifice to keep our country safe, thank you very much and god bless the usa

ON that day we found out that we are no isolated in this country. That outside extremists can come here and hurt us badly. The only good that has come from that is finding that this current generation of teen to twenties is a lot stronger and more capable than we thought with a lot more determination and fortitude than we thought possible. I salute our men and women serving now and all of those who have served.

Thanks for the reminder Ryan. Also those lost in Pennsylvania on United Airlines flight 93.
My office used to be in 7 World Trade Center. Thankfully we moved in May 2001, just a few short months before the 9/11 attacks. Lost a bunch of friends and business associates.

God bless those who are serving to protect us against the wishes of much of our Senate and House. Also bless the families of our 9-11 heroes. May we never forget.

I feel like I gotta write this, because I feel a twinge every time I read about the people that were "lost" in the World Trade Center.
Their families and friends did indeed suffer loss; as did many of us.
But the people in the WTC, the Pentagon and UA Flight 93 were not "lost". They were murdered. Plain and simple. And it seems we, as a nation and as individuals, keep forgetting that.
Each year at the WTC site, volunteers read off the names of everyone killed on 9/11. This morning, one of the volunteers very eloquently thanked all the members of the US intelligence forces working behind the scenes (aka "secretly") to investigate these crimes and other terrorists attacks, past and potential.
Maybe it's just me, but it sure sounded like an objection to the current administration's threats to open criminal investigations into the actions of those same intelligence officers.
OK, I'm off the soap box.
Heading to church tonight for our annual 9/11 remembrance service. Sad, there are six churches in my town. Only one continues to remember!

You are right Paul. They were not lost. It was murder. I also will not forget the images of muslims dancing in the streets at the news. Or of bin Laden saying it had gone even better than they had hoped. Those who do not study history or realize it's significance will be doomed to have thier disasters repeated. There will be more.

Exactly they were murdered. The bad part is Obama is letting terrorist go free and wants to put the cia on trail, not to mention appologising to forein contries for the things AMERICA has done to the world. One talk show host the other day told this little story. If your wife and daughter were kidnapped and the kidnapper was caught and told you they would die in 24 hrs from lack of oxogen because they were buried alive would you say lets talk this out and negotiate and hope he tells you where they are or do you waterboard him or shoot a gun over his head to scare the answer out of him. Or even worse TORCHER him to safe your family. I, like him would do what ever to him I had to do to save my family but for some reason the Democrats want to make us the criminals and give the terrorist the benefit of the doubt. My beef has always been lets treat them the way they do our POWs. Why do we never hear about how our POWs are treated because they are cassualties of war. GOD BLESS THE USA AND ALL OUR SERVICEMEN AND WOMEN PAST AND PRESENT AND LETS NOT APPOLOGISE FOR KEEPING AMERICA FREE AND PROTECTING THE WORLD. Lets never forget what happened on 9-11 and remember the families of those murdered.

I have been a volunteer firefighter for 35 years, and I will never forget the 343 men and women of FDNY whose lives were taken during what I consider to be the most heinous act of war ever committed against the United States of America. Pearl Harbor pales in comparison to this attack on innocent civilians on U.S. soil. We must never forget what they did. I am tired of our government apologising to the rest of the world. We bailed their asses out in two world wars, and this is the thanks we get. I am not a violent person, but I would stop at nothing to bring the people who plan and carry out terrorist acts to justice. I'll shut up now. I can feel my blood pressure going up.

The only god thing that I saw (if any) on that day was for a while the PC bullshit of this country was gone!!!!
As a truck driver on the road to see the flags from windows of cars and flying in front yards was awesome!!!
We weren't black or white, yankees or rebels, or man and women, we were all Americans, someone violated us and by god there gonna pay!!!
Unfortunatly that time has passed, I wish we could bring back the patriotism of the following few months after 9/11 without the attack that brought it!
God bless our troops who go where they are told to defend us! God bless our Fire fighters who run into those burning buildings to save us! God bless our police officers who risk there lives to protects us!
And God bless there families when they lose there lives doing it!!!
America Home Of The Free BECAUSE Of The Brave!!!!!!
