Wondering if this is 1967. Check out this photo. Its of Tiny Lund in a Petty 42 Plymouth racing former Petty driver Jim Paschal. Tiny raced for PE in 67 but not in 66. Plus check out the "By Petty" in the 43 B&W pic and the 42 color one. Its darkened vs. the white "Plymouth" lettering. And the 42 and 43 have a lot of the same contingency decals in the same spot. Makes me wonder if the pics are both from 1967 as well as from the same Atlanta race.

You could be right Chase. I know that they ran blue rims and silver wheels for 66 and 67. I have another pic from Atlanta with the same camera angle but the car has dark rims Here it is. Let me know if 66 is incorrect and I will fix it.

The first pic is absolutely 1966. The tail lights were different in 66 and 67. Those are 66 tail lights. Pettycash, youy make some interesting points, but I wonder if Tiny might be driving a left over 66, possibly the same car but with a number change. It's tough to tell with any certainty, but the grill and tail lights both favor 66. The other two pics could be either 66 or 67.

They did not run or shop many cars back then as the lineage is something to please our eyes to this day

Chase, you are correct about the first pic being taken in 1967. It is a 66 Plymouth. Fall race at Atlanta.

Richard had bad luck in 1967 driving the '67,because it broke down 3 or 4 times at the start of the season so he switched to the '66 car and won the championship...
