OK, I found a potential date for Furrd. None of the online dating services had a category for squirrels, so we'll have to do this the old fashioned way. Disclaimer: I have no way of knowing the gender of either squirrel in the pictures, so we will say one is male and the other is female. My lawyer made me say that. Here she is.

she looks really fine to me. A little snow on her face makes me wonder though if she might be homeless and why? Well kept though and she seems to be very sincere. She truly does have the fur wisp too. I think she is a potential mate for our boy!

Awwww, maybe she's just a more natural girl-squirrel. Perhaps this "do" is just her expressing herself?

OK, not to rain on anyones parade but there is a problem with our Red Headed Vixen.
Red Squirrels and grey squirrels are not compatable. There is a genicidal movement being perpetrated by red squirrels.
To protect their territory red squirrels (being the smaller of most squirrels) employ a very unique method of limiting other squirrels. Since they cannot defend based on size and strength they resort to a special trick when dominated. They take a bite out of the males.............well use your imagination.....and render them neutered.
It would be just like those sneeky REDs to offer up such a tempting treat for Furrd..........
We need to save Furrd from her devious motives before it's too late.

We have both here in Northern Minnesota..... Grey Squirrels were just about wiped out......between being hunted.....(yeah, Grey squirrels are good to eat) and the pressure from Reds.
Reds survive well in Pine forests and Greys preffer hardwoods......Oak is a favorite.
Our area is on the edge of the two seperate types of trees. With the information provided by our local DNR (they informed me of the Reds plans) we now wage war on the RED in our yard.
We have a nice family of thriving Greys........we also have two Black Squirrels in the mix.....(just a color variation like Albino's) I will try and get some pics....they hang on our bird feeders alot.....Maybe Furrd would find one of then attractive, LOL
Not sure how a southern boy would get along with a Northern MN Gal, but our Northern women know how to keep yah warm in the winters.

So, as I write this, "matchmaker for furrd" has 43 views and 9 replies. The AJ 7th and Kasey 8th thread has 29 views and 4 replies. For a racing forum, the squirrels aren't the only things around here that are nuts! Interesting priorities! I'm just sayin'

I had no idea the squirrels would overtake the racing talk. Please forgive me, I knew not what I did. It all started with Tom's A.D.D., and took off from there. Who knew? p.s. Furrd is also a red squirrel. Maybe we should go to something less agressisve, like Rocky the Flying Squirrel. He's a gray. We used to have him painted on the back of our race car.

Perfect!
Mea culpa for all of us because it's Tom's fault.
And he was just about to earn his crayons back. Oh well....

Well if I have my crayons I could color Furrd red!
So tired of brown. . .
Look, there is the squirrel again!

donmoos: maybe we have a Hatfields and McCoys here with Furrd and the red hussy? Is there no hope that they could find each other irresistible? She's such a beauty!
