1959 - Lee finishes 6th in a 200 lapper at Reading (PA) Fairgrounds.

1959 - Richard finishes 4th in a 110 lap convertible race at Orange Speedway in Hillsboro, NC driving #42.

1964 - Richard finishes 6th in the Virginia 500 at Martinsville.

Wow, something finally happened at a track that I have actually been to. I used to go watch the big block modifieds race at the Reading Fairgrounds back in the 70's. Toby Tobias, Gerald Chamberlain, Kenny Brightbill, Bobby Gehrhart, and Buzzie Reutiman (yes, he drove the 00 just like his son does). Man, that was racing at its finest. Half mile dirt track with the big wooden grandstand and corrugated metal fences. It is now the Fairgrounds Square Mall.

Sometimes reality is not a savory meal, but it is the only thing on the plate.
