1951 - Lee finishes 13th in the Motor City 250 at Michigan State Fairgrounds in Detroit. 1956 - Lee finishes 13th in the only Grand National race run at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI. 1962 - Jim Paschal won the Western North Carolina 500 at Asheville-Weaverville Speedway, Weaverville, NC in a #42 Petty Plymouth. Richard finishes 7th. 1967 - Richard wins the Myers Brothers 250 at Bowman-Gray Stadium - the first win that began a streak of 10 wins in 1967. 1973 - Richard qualifies 3rd but finishes 13th in the Talladega 500. In a bizarre race, Dick Brooks won his only career race, 1970 GN champ Bobby Isaac quit in the middle of it because he "heard voices", and sophomore driver Larry Smith was killed.

Nice pic of Lee's beat up Plymouth.
I read on Randy Ayers site that Isaac quit because when Larry Smith was killed the safety personnel left him in plain view on a stretcher as the field rolled around during the caution.
