January 1 - This day in Petty history

Well folks, I've just about made a full lap. I didn't have a Petty trivia item for EVERY single day - but I think I posted enough of them to consider it a full race. I'll continue to search for new trivia items, stories, pictures, etc. When I find them, I'll update my roster of trivia and post it here.

I can't remember exactly where in 2010 I started posting This Day in Petty History. I know it wasn't January 1 so I'll go ahead and post something now for it.

1992 - The band Alabama releases its album American Pride which featured the single Richard Petty Fans.

You have done great pc! Your additions have made our board much more special and informing. . They alone have given us reason to just check in sometimes. Also in reading the past we do hope to relive some of it in the future!

That was a great video. Somehow, I missed that for all these years. I always enjoyed Alabama because of their harmony. We barbershoppers really dig harmony, you know. The historic posts have made this site an incredible fount of Petty knowledge and lore. I have learned so much that has made my love of all things Petty increase. I'm not kidding about this. These posts are wonderful, and the discussions that follow them are always interesting. Thank you, keep up the good work, and have a happy and blessed New Year. Enjoy a cold one in your new glass.

As best as I can tell, pettycash, your first post was Jan 26. You reference a post from Jan. 20 at that time, but I can't seem to find it.
