Wasn't '91 the first year that RP had ever been to Indy? Seems like I remember reading that somewhere.

Not sure if you mean for the 500 or the preparations in general. Here's a photo from 10 years earlier - 1981 - when Richard and Kyle were both at Indy for qualifying.  |

I was thinking about the race itself. The World (Coke-Cola) 600 had always been run the same day as Indy which kept RP in Charlotte of course.
