January 26 - This day in Petty history

This is it folks. I believe this is 1 year I started this silliness. If I find new trivia along the way, I'll post it. Otherwise, I'm not sure I'll be dedicated to the daily posts as I've done the last year.

1974 - Richard finishes 2nd to Cale Yarborough in the Winston Western 500 at Riverside. Teammate Hershell McGriff finishes 10 in a 2nd Petty Enterprises #04 Dodge. The race began on January 20; however, rains fell and the teams returned on January 26 to complete it.

I think all these daily posts by pettycash should be placed in their own category so they can be reviewed. It would be a Petty history just for us. I'm sure I speak for everyone here when I say thanks for a year of enjoyment. We appreciate the effort you made on our behalf.
