We really like the other board as it is but some wish to have the prayer threads individually on the main board as well as the pics and even dual posts if the opinions of the originators are different or whatever. We intend to have no interference or even rules here except no harsh behavior toward another member and no vulgarity. Basically Petty Family Values.
Have fun.
Tom, Rick, and a few others.

It is no problem. If we intend to keep the true "family" together then that is what we need to do. To fight over the mechanics of a board takes energy that could well be used for praying or cheering. There will be hundreds of gallons of Kool-Aid here. Yep, we will enjoy this.

I'm here Thanks for doing this for us. I am truly honored to receive your invitation by PM. We need a place apart from the bickering that has become so prevalent. Kind of reminds me of the end times at the Petty Enterprises site. That was stressful to say the least. I look forward to sharing this place with friends who have become an on-line family. By the way, Brenda and I are doing well. Both of us seem to be fighting sinus infections right now. The weather cooled a bit, and that's all it takes. I do look forward to the autumn months, though. Cool, crisp days, and the stupid grass stops growing for a while. Talk to you all later. Joe

So glad to hear Brenda is doing well. I envy you the cooler weather. It's still strongly in the 90's here. We are all SO worn out with the heat like this since mid-May. Our drought is in the "Exceptional" stage and hay lifts are starting in two weeks. We have an 18 train cars of hay arriving from Alabama and two grain barges from Alabama. The livestock here and the wildlife are suffering.

I will look forward to seein the posts here when I get back. Hope you had a good weekend. The area where I live in eastern PA is like Mecca for ATV'ers every weekend. They go riding on the old coal lands. There are mountains of coal silt that have been there for many years, and they have become hill climbs. There are trails all over the place around here, especially a place called Blackwood.

revilo: how did you get your avatar to load? I tried a couple of times yesterday and couldn't get it. I went back to the other forum (or photo bucket), copied the URL, clicked on modify in my profile, and copied the URL into the avatar space. I set the size at 100 x 100, and there it was. I was actually kind of surprised that it worked. I must be learning this computer stuff. Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks?

Hi Chili
I live near Washington DC and the weather has been good this week and will stay through Labor Day.
Where in Texas do you live?
To load the Avatar the pic has to be pretty small, if the picture is in a photo album use the URL that is second from the top. I am still messing with mine.
Have a great weekend.
