FOUND IT! Chili told us she saw this scene in the background, during a post-race interview. I found the photo on SceneDaily. Credit: NASCAR Illustrated | Author: LaDon George AJ Allmendinger and team owner Richard Petty celebrate a sixth-place run at Atlanta. Petty's teams captured three of the top six spots.

I saw that on TV and commented at the time it was a pretty touching moment.

Remember when the drivers would have black faces after a race except where their goggles were? When you looked at them, you could tell they had just stepped out of a race car. Now they finish a race looking like they just came out of the makeup chair. How times have changed. That picture is worth a thousand words. There is obviously a lot of mutual respect between Richard and AJ.

I keep wondering if he sees some Adam Petty in AJ.

That thought has crossed my mind, too.
