Avatar Copying

Hey gang,

There are some "avatar" questions buried in the 'New Board for Us" thread.

To get your old avatar over here...

Open your profile in this forum. Click Modify Profile.

At the "other" petty forum site, open your profile and copy the full url. Make sure you grab the entire address!

Also, make note of the height and width pixel count.

Then...come back here, click into the avatar url field and paste the url in. Enter the height and width pixel count.

At the old site, you you could also open a thread where you posted and right click your avatar. Then click "Copy Image Location". Come back here and past it in. But the forum software is going to default to a "square image". So your avatar might be out of shape.

You wrote that you tried copying the old url and it didn't work. If you copied by "swiping your old avatar url on the profile page...you did not get the entire url.

Either double-click in that field and "CNTRL C" it, or right click the avatar image and "Copy Image Location"

Took me about 5 tries but I finally accomplished it. Not sure how so don't anyone else start a new board because I don't want to have to do that again! HA!

Yea it was weird, I had my photo uploaded on facebook and when I used that link here it wouldn't take it. I then uploaded my photo to photobucket and it liked it. So I think this board has a mind of it's own and will take your photo when ever it wants it! lol
