This is an excellent read Case. Your article is a good as any I have read this week.
Speedweeks had a little of everything and unfortunately we get to ignore DW until July.
Speaking of race announcers bar none, Barney Hall is the man with everone else a lap down. I listened to him on the radio Sunday and he is as good as ever.
Back to DW I read somewhere on the blogs that Larry Mac and Waltrip were stating that Nascar history starts in 1980. Did they say that ? Probably did after reading your blog noting all of the other garbage these guys throw up.
Speaking of the 43 it is obvious that TV is not going to give up any props for this car until it starts winning which is ashame but on the other hand everyone knows that AJ was a rocket ship last week.
Great job, keep it up

I firmly believe that A.J. and the 43 are now at least a blip on the radar screens for the race announcers. Whether they mention him much or not remains to be seen but the 43 was SO strong for that run on Sunday I don't think anyone will forget that at Fontana. I even had a friend who is a Tony Stewart fan call me when the 43 was out front and she had a catch in her voice when she said nothing would please her more than to see that 43 in Victory Lane. I think there's lots of NASCAR fans who feel that way. WHEN (not if) A.J. gets it there it's going to be very emotional for a lot of people.

Elliott said last night that he was a victim of "The Hole". They knew they had a problem after hitting that but couldn't figure it out during the race. Back at the shop Monday morning they found the the packers on the left bump stop had been crushed.

Dang I picked Eliot to win Daytona I understand that hole was something from gophers (digger I think) undermining the track.
