Awhile back I posted a cropped version of this ad. Here is a cleaner version with the advertisement. Richard's "73" STP Dodge was probably the most popular race car in the country at the time.

And still is one of the most popular cars!
I'm looking at the track too. Only about 20 rows of seats, looks like no catch fencing. Everyone there must have felt like they are "on the track". I can hardly imagine it!

The fence is there. Look closely and you can see the wires.

I notice a couple of small differences in the contingency stickers in pic 1 compared to pic 2. The Sears DIEHARD stickers are different colors and there is a Nascar sticker next to the Winston Cup sticker on the bottom pic. I am resonably sure that both pic's are from Speedweeks, 1973.
