Great shot. But what blind guy picked those colors? At least he's relaxed at the wheel (left arm!)

The car is Hemi Orange with a bright Yellow or Gold wing and Bumble Bee tail stripe. If I remember correctly.

The tail and numbers are a neon orange. I have several other pics of this car and will look again. Also notice that the rood is black. Buddy Baker won the Southern 500 in this car or one very simillar.
In it's original form that pic has a comment stating that it is the 200 mph car but it is not. The first 200 car was built by Chrysler and was blue with the number 88. There is an example of that car at Talladega's museam but it is not the original. The car at Talladega is a repainted Harry Hyde 71 car. The original was owned for many years by Don White. He finally sold it and is being restored as we speak.

Cotton Owens may well be the best car builder in Nascar history. Maybe he didn't have the success of Dale Inman or some of the others but when it came to building a very fast car Cotton was one of the very few who's name alone would assure success.
