In ten years I think you will be able to look at the BV deal and see a success. For both Richard and his heirs as well as BV.
Richard still holds a portion of the driving school. It is being expanded quite a bit. BV will be motivated to make it a financial success as it is all that their initail purchase netted them.
They are branching out to more mass market appealing products all the time. The new go kart thing brings the participation cost down alot and can reach out to more and more people. Richard is doing some work with Bud on responsible driving and if RPM keeps this sponsor Look for the RPDE to benefit from that relationship as well with there driving awareness program.
One other new development is that NASCAR is not doing a new Racing Game. This can open a whole new door for RPDE to venture into that Arena. Who hear would not purchase a $39 Richard Petty Racing Game to play on their game consoles?
RPDE will become a much larger entity soon.

I would surely buy the RPM game! What happened, did Nascar's licensing fees finally put them out of that too? Sad to see the Revell and other Nascar models done away with by Nascars fee greed but now the Nascar series too? Yes, in the long term the BV deal will look good. But I think many of us will always have a sour taste about the way BV just decided they didn't want or need to finance the racing team.
