Both cars really did not have the speed. Also I heard very little talk out of either driver during qualifying. Strange. I will have the scanner on during the race. I am really interested in what Aric says as the race goes on. Will post after the race.

They will be lucky if the 43 or 44 are even close to 2 laps down. The usually have a long green flag run off the start. That's not good for RPM. Just review our last 10 races here. If I remember right Aric survived a monster wreck not long ago that took out a bunch of cars and still couldn't get a top 15.
As usual though going to be root'em on optimism hasn't totally been crushed bruised badly yes LOL.

To put it in perspective, Aric is a mile slower than the 24th place car of Matt Debedideno, and 3 miles slower than the 15th starter of Ricky Stenbouse.

There ya go there's my 3 mph plus. A little attrition and racing luck helped today 15th not bad for Charlotte. Looks like the speed isn't going to get better anytime soon. During the off season they are going to have to work hard to find that much speed. I'm trying to stay positive. Dan [

I had Aric on the scanner today. At the first caution, Aric said no mistakes please. We know our cars don't have the speed to keep up so if we make no mistakes we might get a top 20. When he went a lap down, on the next caution the team was trying to make up their mind to pit or take the wave around. Aric said no way can I keep up to get the lucky dog. Later on he said the car drives like a tank. At the end of the race he mentioned how hard it is to drive this car. Just a few of what he said during the race. Take it for what it's worth.
