She is going to her doctors the next couple of weeks for decades overdue tests and some are scary. She has lived with and in pain for much of the past eight or so years and very much so in the past three years. Today she has gyno visit and testing including a biopsy to check for cancer. She doesn't say she is worried but I know she is. Anyone would be. She has already found out she might have fibromyalgia. She did find out she doesn't have rheumatoid arthritis though, which is a blessing. Asking prayers that she may be freed from her pain and well again. Thank you.

I hope everything goes well. My wife has fibromyalgia and lupus. Pain is her constant companion. She used to spend countless hours crocheting, sewing, doing cross stitch, etc., but all that has been taken from her by these conditions. Apparently these are all autoimmune diseases, like her diabetes. The doctors say they are related somehow. Maybe we could get our wives together as a mini-support group. Best wishes for Judith. God bless you both.

Thanks to you all. Judy has been in pain constantly for the past three or four years and refused to go to the doctor. Maybe I should have refused to go unless she did. But finally this month she has started to go to find out things. Rev, have to ask. How old are you and yours?

I am 53 and Brenda will be 45 next month. She has been an insulin dependent diabetic since age 9. She uses an insulin pump now, and it has helped her tremendously. She was diagnosed with lupus, fibromyalgia, and arthritis several years ago. Pain is her constant companion, and she has lost the ability to do the things she always enjoyed, like sewing, crochet, and cross stitch. It limits what we can do and where we can go, but we are getting along OK, with God's help. Brenda has gotten tired of seeing 5 or 6 different doctors, though, and she takes enough pills every day to choke a horse.

I can imagine. She must be quite a trooper. Sad that illnesses can do this to loved ones. My brother had lupus as did an aunt so we suspected but I tested negative. Judith's sister has it also and she is being tested as well. Her mother was diabetic so she is also being tested for that. So many things tie together Rev. Brenda will be in our prayers always. Please know that.

Tom and Revilo your wives and you are in my prayers also, these things are very trying for all concerned. My wife is a breast cancer survivor and had a tough time but her faith and family helped when she needed it. She has been cancer free for 13 years and only has yearly checkups. God bless you all

And you too Butch. Thank God for 13 years cancer free! Normally that means it isn't coming back. I know it was a tough time. My Mom went through that and it was terrifying as well as very painful physically and even emotionally.

Wow. I am absolutely stunned at this outpouring of love and concern. Thank you everyone. I have to clarify one thing. I never 'refused' to go to the doctor. I just could not add another financial string of copays and whatnot to what we already had on our plate at the time. Plus, I was so dang sick of doctors at that point I didn't care what was wrong. But I said I would go when things got fairly settled with Tom. No I wasn't really worried about today because I've never had any abnormal 'girlie tests' and I'm sure this one will show the same. Living a good clean life has something going for it. My only vice these days is chocolate. Thank you again everyone. Little by little I'm hoping to get both he and me taken care of and back onto the road of healing and dealing with things to the best of our ability with HIS help. Blessings and prayers for all of you that need it. An extra hug is sent to Rev's wife. That poor woman. I can only imagine what she goes through in a single day. Much love. Judith
