I don't know what to do about this part. I will be willing to go with the concensus. After all, we are ALL admins here. But that also means if a few feel really strongly about not posting our url and invite on the other board publicly we will not do so.

It would probably be better not to post our url on the other site as this may be considered an insult. The networking taking place as we speak is working very well.

I have to agree. So at this point unless someone really puts up a good reason let's just figure that the no's have it and keep it as it is. Thanks to you all, I do believe this is the right course. I didn't know what to do but this was the way I was thinking. At times like that we should all have a say. Thanks for saying. But as always if there are those you wish to invite please do.

I have been debating this question myself, and I feel that the personal invitation is the way to go. This site has had a high number of visitors, so it appears folks are checking in to see if it is someplace they want to go. We have a good group that has been growing slowly, and I for one am happy to stay the course. The poll was a good idea, Tom. The question had to be asked.

Thank you. Again I must say this belongs to all of us and we are all equal in say here. You can always count on a poll before anything might happen that could change the feeling of this place. And if you have a question that I haven't heard please share it privately or publicly and we will surely bring it to everyone. But we will not be providing government healthcare to anyone.

I'm chiming in late...but agree with the no vote. We're not out to hurt anyone's feelings, particularly those that got the other board up and running when the RPE forums went away. You guys built this site...folks will come.

I'm torn here because im very thankful for PFIT for giving us a place to come to after the PE bored went down, I feel very bad that we are basically dumping him and Asphen to the curb. They should at least be told about this bored and offer them an invitation to be solid contributors here. Because some here didn't like the way they ran that site doesn't make them bad people or any less petty fans then us.

Please know that nobody here is casting stones or making any kind of a comment toward the other board. Yes, they did a great job and they do a great job. It is simply a matter of philosophies as they relate to board management. The other board was set up to be neat and very efficient. That is fine if that is what you wish for. Also the policy as far as postings was probably more stringent than we would wish for. It just seemed that it was a little too efficient for some of us who wished for a place to go where we had only one list to go through including prayer requests, pics, and all else. This board is not efficient, nor is it strict as far as content nor do we propose to lock threads or transfer any. This is just meant to be a relaxed place to go to when you want to talk Petty or any of the other things we share here. All in one list, easy to get to. With Aspens charts and postings they are definately a more "together" place than we are and that is fine. They do a great job over there. I just prefer life in the slow lane I guess.

This site was created because Tom and myself wanted a straight up board with one forum that will not be moderated.
An administrator does have total control but this authority should be used in a consistent manner. That is not the case on the other site.
The key is that we still make our own choices. Many of the core group from the other site are here now because they want to be.
I sent donmoos a PM with an invite yesterday and noticed that he has not logged on since September 2. Scott came on board but has not been involved for quite awhile.
When chili left the other site we went and got her. Tom and Judy set this up and asked me to color it. That is it. There will be no post deletions or moves and in Tom's words, transparent moderation. If someone goes bonkers then of course something would be done but with this group or the other I do not see that happening. Heck I am the biggest trouble maker out there !
It's all good

I have a feeling PFIT, ASPEN, and others allready know about this site, but probably will not join. Me personally, I never had any problems with anybody on the other site but know others have. Sometimes power goes to peoples head.

We certainly had no malicious intent coming over here. Chili had some issues with the administrative tactics used on the other board and decided to leave. Tom, Judith, and Rick felt it was best to take their ball and bat and go play somewhere else. And here we are, one big happy family. I'm not sure if that family is the Waltons or the Bundys, but it is working. All are welcome, so long as they understand the concept and are willing to live within the guidelines. Does that sound right to you guys?

Hey all, The only reason it took me so long I was away on vaction. To a place far away......not in miles from me but in time. I am a avid voluteer for the Western Minnesota Steam Threshers reunion in Rollag, MN. It is a blast from the past, I spent from Sept 2 to Sept 8th with out radio or TV. You can check out the place at www.rollag.com The exhibit I run is a waterwheel powered wood shop.......we make fun wooden toys to sell and our exhibit number is 45........I am subversively trying to get it changed to 43 now that RPM is running the 45 but I think it would require arson or something like it to move up two numbers LOL, so most likely wont happen. I also apreciate everything PFIT did and enjoyed their site alot. I just hope this one frees everone to show their personalities more, I just didn't get the same feelings as before, I posted on it a couple times but there just seemed to be more reserved in posting opinions.........so heres to a great group and let the bragging begin...........RPM 2 wins and a shot at the championship!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
